MIA BERG MEADOW

Norway’s Mia Berg is an incredible hidden talent who has released her best single yet in the form of ‘Meadow’. It’s a nostalgic cut that crafts a remarkable depth of texture and warmth from the distant, static piano chords that underpin her airy voice. The sweeping orchestral accompaniment that joins the track later adds a layer of grandeur that supports her lyricism. She describes ‘Meadow’ as “a song I wrote about the weight of carrying out other people's struggles. It doesn't need to be a romantic relationship, but also family and friends, or the ones close to you. It can feel like you're standing on the sideline in your own life,  with the focus being on the person struggling. I wanted to paint a picture of that feeling -of being lost in someone else's problems.” Her album, Sleepwalkers At Noon, drops later this year and contains ten incredible tracks. -Dan Peeke.
